 So subtle, how the unconscious mind takes over. There is such a slight resistance to the now that's triggered by a fear of feeling something uncomfortable, and this quickly snowballs into a larger and larger identification with stories in the mind, all as a way to distract from having to feel this feeling. The wheel slowly starts turning and the stories become more and more enticing to the apparent 'you,' who continues to feed the wheel's movement by its invested attention. Very quickly you find yourself in a fascinating mind game, playing a story that is so untrue and so removed from the reality of the present moment. But it feels so true, so convincing, so utterly important and real. It feels so good and thrilling this imagination because it allows you to avoid the pain that wanted to be felt in the present moment. It's the best drug.

 Why is love so wonderful? Is it because of the person you fall in love with? Is it because you justify why they are so perfect for you and fantastic? No. It's the unavoidable, irrefutable, unexplainable magnetic pull that sends you to them and makes it feel so good to be in exactly that place at exactly that time. It's the universe making it so incredibly clear that all is aligned in this moment. Somehow the universal energy can be felt so intensely in a connection between 2 humans. Ultimately it has nothing to do with this person and how you will get along with them. It could be that you only have a night of romance and then it's gone, that connection can fade as quickly as it came. But it's so undeniable that pull towards this person, it's a force beyond you, and it feels so good to be carried by it, surrender and trust in its wisdom. It knows something you don't.
