LET’S LOVE
LOVE YOUR BODY, MIND, AND SOUL.
LOVE THE WORLD.
What are cravings? Are they good or bad? Some cravings are rooted in old, unhealthy emotional attachments in the body. Other cravings give helpful clues about what your body and being need for better health and forward movement. How do we know which is which? Cravings can be a craving for LIFE! It's fantastic to crave, it means we are alive. Desires are what keep us excited and moving forward in our evolution. It gives us the excitement to create and share our gifts with the world, or to partake in the world's offerings, to simply explore the flavors of what's here and what's possible. Too much craving and too much desire, however, can be overwhelming and destructive. It all comes back to balance. This is always the answer in this world of duality, paradox, extremes. Not THE balance, as there is no one size balance fits all. It's OUR balance. And our balance for NOW. Because even our own balance is constantly shifting as we grow, change, evolve, step into newer versions of ourselves that crave different things in different ways. As much as many people and theories will try to convince otherwise, there will not be a specific answer to the question of how much is too much, or what craving is always bad and what is always good. There will not be a number to follow, there will not be a list of cravings that are off limits. Yes, of course, we have a general sense of what might be too much numerically, and what types of foods and other cravings are more harmful than others. But that is not the point, and it is not the final answer. The final answer that will guide you can only come from learning to listen to your body and find out for yourself, in each new moment as the cravings arise. We find OUR OWN balance for THIS MOMENT, which is ever-changing. We learn to listen closer and closer, more and more carefully to what is needed for now. Is this particular craving serving me right now? Is it really in my benefit in this moment or is it just an indulgence in a pattern that has not served me? It's using our awareness and inner intelligence to listen and discern. Nobody will be able to give you the rule that applies every single time. That is the old way. Listening to authorities for rules on how to live our lives. So we feel safe knowing there is a system, a structure to live within,. We feel protected. We are constantly seeking the 'right' answers. Because we are afraid to get it wrong, to fail, to fall and get hurt. Yes, it's great to learn and develop more and more understanding of the properties of life and how we want to move and be. But we can never be rigid in these 'rules.' As soon as you have your neatly packaged rule, life will show up to explode everything you knew to be true about this rule, and it will be time to rebuild. We build, destroy, we rebuild. Creation and destruction are inextricably linked. We want to know what to expect on the road ahead of us, so we do not have to step into our power and face our fear of being larger than we ever imagined. Now it is time to push through that fear and finally claim our inner strength to act and move as the limitless beings that we are. We ask and our inner intelligence answers. We feel into our intuition of what is needed in this moment. Our past experiences are also brought in to inform us if this craving has served us before or not. And if we do not receive a clear answer, we just choose. Yes, I will indulge this craving. Or no, I'm going to hold back. Whatever our choice, we choose with our full energy. No space for doubt or regret. We commit to the choice and make the plunge, whatever the consequence may be. Normally we swim in indecision and confusion because of our fear of making the wrong choice. But even if it turns out to be 'wrong', meaning it did not produce the results you desired, then it was a powerful learning experience that further strengthens the power of your inner knowing. You now have that much more evidence for your intelligence to draw from the next time you are faced with a similar choice to make. Usually we wallow in the pain of making the wrong choice, we focus on our failure rather than the success of knowing with even more clarity what we do and do not want. If we did not wallow in the pain and misery of having been wrong, we would have much more energy freed up to really allow this lesson to sink in. We would focus our attention on the knowledge gained through this experience so much that it couldn't escape us, and we would then be less likely to repeat the same pattern. What prevents us from really learning and moving forward beyond old patterns is that we choose to stay in the lower vibration of these beliefs: 'I failed, I'm not good enough.' Stewing in the past, stewing in our negative self perception. When we honor the opportunities that life presents in the form of learning and growth, we allow ourselves space to expand into the bigger, better version of who we want to be. This is the power of craving. It is the craving for life, for learning, for growth, for creation, for expansion. To say if a craving is good or bad..well in either case, it is serving your growth. If you follow this craving to a desired result, it feels good. If you follow this craving to an undesired result, you have this opportunity to become more intelligently tuned in with your being, with how you want to create your life, and this also feels good. Thus these cravings can be used as the fuel for life. To propel you forward with passion and zest for life, and to fine tune your connection with your own body and inner wisdom.
