LET’S LOVE
LOVE YOUR BODY, MIND, AND SOUL.
LOVE THE WORLD.
Love and health go together, they are the same!
Your body's health is a direct reflection of how much you are loving yourself. Simple, right? Sure! But there are so many sneaky layers and corners of where you're not really loving yourself. It may seem that on the surface we can love ourselves. Treating ourselves to nice things, loving the body through self care, etc. But it's a lot more than these surface-level actions.

People ask me, do you really live on a tropical island? Your life is just paradise? The short answer- Yes, but I call it Paradise..with a twist. It's a yummy cocktail, but there is definitely still a sour twist. It's not just sunshine, rainbows, butterflies and unicorns ALL the time. Sometimes the unicorns take a break. They book themselves a vacation on some other island, and when they leave, a whole swarm of mosquitoes come to take their place.
People ask me, so there is sunshine, luscious greenery, fresh coconuts, breathtaking sunsets, starry skies and clear turquoise sea with white beaches? Yes. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I feel so grateful and blessed every single day. Wow, and you have all the healthy food options served to you right outside your doorstep? And friendly, smiley, open-minded tourists from all over the world who are looking to explore, expand their perspectives, know themselves deeper and heal together? Mmmhmmm. And you guys all have this amazing community with tons of events and offerings every day like dance, yoga, all kinds of healing, fun and play…and it's all super affordable??? Um, yeah. So your life is totally carefree and perfect??! Sorry my friend, no. Life is still life. I am still human. Everyday problems and challenges still arise. And as trite as it is, wherever you go, there you are. No matter how many fairies, frolicking hippies and beach sunsets you throw into the mix. Whyyyy are they hereeeeee??
Someone told me to be free of mosquito attacks you must send them love. I completely resonate with this, I know this is true. And yet I don’t know how to do it, like authentically and practically do it. How do you truly love your enemy? How do you love someone or something that harms you repeatedly? That’s a massive skill, a massive power. And I do believe that is the way. But hoowwww? Peace = Healthy Mind
Strength = Healthy Body Wellness = Healthy Body & Mind Happiness = Healthy Spirit Health = Healthy Mind, Body & Spirit We can experience peace while our mind is healthy, but we can still have pain and discomfort in our body and never experience joy and the thrill of life. We can be strong and free of ailment in our body but still have lots of emotional and and mental disruption. We can achieve wellness with a healthy body and mind but never know how to open ourselves to feeling love for ourselves or others. We can be completely happy and smiley in our hearts, but we can have incessant destructive thoughts, and our body can have disease. It is only when we are healthy in all aspects of our being that we truly feel we are living life to the fullest, and in our greatest health. What if we needed to become gluten free to be glutton free? We became so gluttonous that we stuffed ourselves to the brim and no longer could process any more. Maybe as a reaction our bodies decided we needed to end our glutton ways by rejecting the most gluttonous culprit--Gluten-filled, BREADY SUBSTANCES.
We are always just repeating the first recipes that were ever originated. Someone invented pasta, pizza, falafel, pad thai, all these incredible, unique and delicious things. Why can no one do this now? Why are there NO new epic dishes being created? Why are the best chefs only still making the same dishes with small twists and variations? Ooh, truffle oil drizzle, cardamom-flavor, another exotic creature that sounds interesting. But nothing they create is ever craved by you again later, it just doesn't hit that spot of comfort. Is it that we don't have the social communities anymore that created long, strong traditions around certain foods? Or is it because our need for food in general is slowly dying out as our bodies become lighter, and the only relationship we have to food now is holding onto the memories we made in the past?
There's actively creating positive energy in your life, and then there is an ability to be okay with what already is. This is New Age vs. ancient, wise & timeless spiritual philosophies like Hinduism and the Tao. Of course, a lot of the New Age has its roots in ancient wisdom too. But things like positive affirmations, focusing on positive thoughts to create and manifest a positive reality, are more of a modern approach of active participation.
Somehow we think we need to battle between these two options for philosophies and belief systems. We do not. It's an integrated balance of the two, of old and new. A balance of timeless wisdom and fresh evolution & creativity. Fat is just protection. We develop layers of protection around wounded parts of our body. I lost lots of body fat and I didn't do any of the typical weight loss things. I didn't exercise, I didn't diet. Yes, I did lots of detoxing. Yes, that was a major component in releasing these stuck energies in my body. But that's not IT. Detoxing alone will not transform your body PERMANENTLY. And it will not radically change your life and the kind of person you are. It can be another temporary fix, create a temporary high, and you can easily put the weight back on, if you are not consciously addressing what created the stuck energy and fat buildup in the first place.
After the 60's time of total revolution-- serious hippie, political, sexual, spiritual revolution, working hard to push boundaries and the status quo and create SERIOUS CHANGE. After this heavy time of war and more war fighting against having the wars, the 70's emerged-- the time to boogie! We often dismiss this time period and I know the younger generations look at it with disdain, we don't honor or respect that time at all! We all know the classic tunes, the typical dance moves from Saturday night fever with John Travolta, and we all loved rocking those bell bottoms. But it's usually regarded as a silly, ridiculous period that no one wants to ever talk about again. Why do we pass over this incredible time and message of wild expression and fun?
You can think you are enlightened, super successful, perfectly polished, a wonderfully embodied god/dess and just rocking everything in life, but when mama shows up, all of it vanishes, and you are just mama's little child. All accomplishments, titles, and ideas you have about yourself melt into the warmth of that cozy, warm, snuggly, familiar place in your mom's heart. This place that held you from the very beginning is one of the most comforting beds you'll ever lie in. Nothing else compares, and any other desire to be someone or do something vanishes at the slight beckoning to nestle under that mama blankie of love, protection, and acceptance.
